Vaccination Policy
Dear Patients and Families of Adirondack Pediatrics:
Vaccinations are incredibly important to the health of your children and the community as a whole. The medical research is overwhelming that vaccines are safe and effective.
Every parent wants what is best for their children (and so do we)! However, when parents refuse or delay vaccines they leave their children vulnerable to life threatening diseases. These immunization gaps leave our entire community more vulnerable to disease, including children who are too young to benefit from vaccines and those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical problems.
The recommended schedule of immunizations has been researched and documented to be the most effective and safe way to protect children. The vaccines are carefully timed to provide protection when children are most vulnerable, and when the vaccines will produce the strongest response from the child’s immune system.
To ensure the health of your children, and all the patients in our practice, we expect that all of our families work with our providers to fully immunize their children. If your family has no intention of allowing us to immunize your children, then we feel that we are not the right fit for your family’s pediatric needs and we encourage you to seek care elsewhere.
